Team Spotlight: EDK Sports Academy

EDK's soccer club

EDK is a community sports academy in Jeju City. It runs programs for every age group — preschoolers, elementary, middle and high school students, and adults. Most training happens at a small futsal facility on Yeonsin-ro that stays busy from early afternoon until late at night.

The club doesn’t focus only on competition. Many of the younger players come to learn basic coordination and teamwork. Alongside soccer, EDK also offers basketball and jump-rope classes. Coaches rotate between indoor and outdoor courts, depending on the weather.

One of their main challenges is space. The futsal courts are often booked, so practices can get crowded. Still, the club has built a loyal group of families who return each season. For a lot of parents, it’s one of the few affordable, consistent youth programs in Jeju City.
